A workshop on “Separation Science” was held by ASSET in Department of Chemistry, Univ. of Mumbai, during March 4-5, 2020 in collaboration with National centre of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. The workshop was jointly inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Manchanda, Former President, ASSET and Director, National Centre of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, University of Mumbai. Participants were University of Mumbai, M.Sc. and research students. There were seven talks during the workshop along with laboratory/facility visit for the participants. Speakers were from academics and industries, carrying extensive research experience covering the different separation techniques being employed in nuclear, pesticide, pharmaceutical and nanomaterial sciences.

Dr. Sumit Kumar, secretary, ASSET summed up the workshop proceeding and conducted the feedback session. Dr. Kannan attended the valedictory session; he interacted with the students and informed the students about the job opportunities in BARC, especially of the analytical chemistry background. He gave away the participation certificates to the attendees and workshop bulletin was distributed to each of the registered attendees.
