Q. 1. How can I become a member of ASSOCIATION OF SEPARATION SCIENTISTS AND TECHNOLOGISTS (ASSET)?
Ans. One can fill the membership form available on the website; attach identification and recent qualification certificates and a cheque of Rs. 1000/- (Life membership charge) along with the application and send it to the Secretary, ASSET. For further details the secretary ASSET should be contacted on his mail-id: acdeb@barc.gov.in

Q. 2. How does life membership of ASSET help in my scientific pursuits?
Ans. ASSET is a scientific body, managed by professional scientists and technologist. As per its mandate, ASSET publishes thematic bulletins on separation science and bulletins periodically. Association with this scientific body may help in updating the information about Separation Science and Technology. Also, availability of different experts as ASSET members provides an opportunity to networking of students and early career researchers to different kind of facilities and expertise.

Q.3. May ASSET cohost workshop, theme meeting or symposium along with the proposer organization?
Ans. The proposer may approach the President, ASSET (E-mail id: mpatra@barc.gov.in) in this regard. On the themes relevant for ASSET, there is finite possibility that ASSET would agree to cohost workshop, theme meeting or symposium.

Q.4 May ASSET help in getting internship for my college workshop?
Ans. ASSET is managed by an executive committee which is housed in Radiochemistry Division, BARC. A student desirous of getting internship in BARC, in general, should approach Human Resource Development Division of BARC in this regard. However, ASSET may help in networking a student with different experts available in BARC in Separation Science and Technology.
